This iconic celebration of Wellington’s diversity and culture is returning to our city in 2024!
Part of the Wellington Pride Festival, this event will include a parade through Courtenay Place and Dixon Street, a Street Celebration, and the Official Parade After Party.
This event is for all our whānau to celebrate. Here’s how to have your say.
Community Hui
In November, we invited the community to meet the organising team and offer any ideas and feedback they have, to make this a magnificent event. Future events will be held and listed on Facebook.
Online submissions
Use our online form where you can submit your feedback, ideas or suggestions. This feedback will go directly to the organising team and all submissions will be responded to.
Direct email
We have setup an email address that is monitored and responded to by our community engagement team. If there’s anything you want to ask us, tell us or have a great idea – email us.
One Celebration - Three Events
The Parade
Taking over the iconic Courtenay Place and Dixon Streets, the parade gives everyone an opportunity to participate in the parade, or simply join the energetic crowds.
Cuba Street Celebration
The party continues in Lower Cuba Street with live performances from local and international talent.
This will also feature local food and marketplace vendors.
New partnership
The Wellington Pride Parade is a key event in the Wellington Pride Festivals calendar. We acknowledge that while there is need for celebration, it is equally important to remind ourselves and Aotearoa’s leaders there is still work to be done.
We have strategically placed the Parade after the Hīkoi – this is to ensure we acknowledge the need for protest before we celebrate.
